Browser · Windows

ZSEC Browser

Open the Windows Store listing for the published browser edition. The Community source contains a Windows browser shell powered by Microsoft's Evergreen WebView2 runtime and a separate browser Shields privacy extension.

The Community shell uses Microsoft's browser runtime. It is not a separately maintained Chromium distribution; websites you visit still operate under their own privacy policies.

What the scanner can show you

Inspect

Local, deterministic scans

File hashes and exact rules produce inspectable results. Community scanning does not need an AI model or upload file contents to a cloud model. Bounded scans report skipped files, errors and incomplete coverage.

Review

Findings with context

Review scan scope, matching rules and errors before acting. Conservative file-format observations are review evidence; a match or a clean result only covers the rules and files actually inspected.

Recover

Explicit quarantine

Community source supports recoverable encrypted quarantine for explicitly selected matches. Quarantine and restore have their own checks; restore does not overwrite an existing destination.

Community boundaries. ZSEC Community is a security companion and has no independent efficacy certification. Its per-user post-change monitoring does not provide the operating system file-access interception of a replacement primary antivirus. Keep your existing operating system protection enabled. Source documentation describes release and platform limits; check the exact edition you install.

A practical first scan

Start with a manageable folder and a result you can inspect.

Identify your edition. Open its About or version information and read the corresponding Store details or Community release notes.
Choose a folder deliberately. Begin with a small set of files you own. Review the selected path and scan settings before starting.
Read the full result. Check inspected files, findings, skipped items and errors. An incomplete scan needs follow-up; zero matches is not a guarantee that every file is safe.
Review before recovery actions. Follow the edition's quarantine and restore instructions. Keep valuable files backed up separately.
